【摘要】:Thepurposeofthisspecificationistoestablisharecognizedstandardofqualityforrigidpolyvinylchloride(PVC)exteriorprofilesforuseinassemblingagricultural,commercial,andresidentialfencingandrailing.Thetermx201C;PVCfencex201D;referstocompletefencingandrailingssystemsinwhichtheprimarystructuralmemberssuchasposts,rails,spindles,pickets,andgatesaremadefromPVCexteriorprofiles.Accessorycomponents(notincludedinthisspecification),includingbolts,screws,hinges,latches,caps,andbrackets,maybemadefromPVCand/ornon-PVCmaterials.Theinformationcontainedinthisspecificationisintendedtobehelpfultoproducers,distributors,andusersandtopromoteunderstandingbetweenpurchasersandsellers.1.1Thisspecificationestablishesrequirementsforthematerialpropertiesandphysicalproperties,includingdimensionaltolerances,extrusionquality,andweatherability,ofrigidpolyvinyl-chloride(PVC)exteriorprofilesusedforagricultural,commercial,residentialfencingandrailing.Methodsfortestingandforidentifyingexteriorprofileextrusionsthatcomplywiththisspecificationarealsoprovided.Note18212;Informationwithregardtoapplication,assembly,andinstallationshouldbeobtainedfromthemanufacturerand/orinaccordancewithPracticeF1999.Note28212;Loadbearingcharacteristicsforfenceandrailingassembliesarenotaddressedwithinthisspecification(forexample,windload,horizontalorverticalguardrailloading).1.2Thematerialusedintheseexteriorprofilesislimitedtorigidpoly(vinylchloride)(PVC)compoundsinasinglehomogeneousextrusionorinacoextrusionoftwoormorePVCcompoundsindistinctlayers.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
