【摘要】:Spooledwireviewedunderbrightdirectlightingorindeepshadowgenerallyexhibitsaflawlessappearance.Properarrangementoftheviewingangleandillumination,however,permitsaccurateobservationofwire-surfacecondition.Thispracticespecifiestheconditionsunderwhichreliableandreproduciblesurfacefinishinspectionmaybeachieved.SuchinspectionisappropriateforevaluatingsurfacequalitywithrespecttotherequirementsinSpecificationsF72andF487.Surfacesmoothnessanddegreeofcleanlinessmayaffecttheperformanceofwire.Thispracticemaybeusedtodeterminewhetherornotspooledwiremeetsperformance-basedsurfacefinishcriteriaagreeduponbetweenamanufacturerorsupplierandawirepurchaser.Themagnificationrecommendedmaynotbesufficienttopermitdetectionofalldefectsonthewiresurfaceaffectingwireperformance;however,itissufficienttopermitaninspectortodeterminetheoverallstateofthewirefinishandthemannerinwhichthewireliesonthespool.1.1Thispracticecoversconditionsfornondestructivevisualinspectionofthesurfacefinishofspooledaluminumandgoldwireusedformakinginternalsemiconductordeviceconnectionsandhybridmicroelectronicconnections.1.2Thispracticespecifiestherecommendedlighting,magnification,andspecimenpositioningforinspectingspooledwireunderanopticalmicroscope.1.3Photographs()areincludedinasguidestoaidtheinspectorinidentifyingparticularsurfaceconditions.Thesephotographsarenotintendedasstandardsforspecifyingwiresurfacequality.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheaplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
